I can tell you if You play for the first time dota, You will be unable to get rid of it, but on the other hand dota sometimes may bring benefits too, let say

Dota teaches us some english words or sentences which we rarely use in public speaking, and they are all formal, such as..
''Moonlight shines upon the guilty with innocence of light'' (Luna)
''Have you heard about the secret to eternal happiness?'' (Necro)
etc..

Dota teaches us to play smart and strategically, part of psychological skills too, let say, you might predict which direction will the hero go when he is missing, you might predict what would he do if the enemy come to you.. And so with your human understanding skills, you will be able to catch what are they actually thinking..(It requires time to train)


Dota teaches us simple mathematics, we might rarely count that their skill deals how much actually the damage to us, and the concept of ''armor'' increasing armor will receive fewer damage, decreasing armor will receive more damage, with proper handle of mathematic skills, we will know how many skills are required to kill a person...
Like 1 hero, namely, Obsidian, his ultimate skills requires good mathematic as in the damage deal by counting on his own intelligence minus enemy's intelligence and X10..(Well this is not important..)

Next Dota teaches us timing, teamwork..
Most matches require good teamwork in order to win the game, the term timing means that, we learn about good timing to use what kind of skills and deal what kind of damage, for example,
Stunning for 2 seconds for an enemy first, as we are playing teamwork game, of course we will do other stunning skills after the 2 second stun timed out, and that may increase the gameplay, excitement efficiently.

We may not know that we are actually learn simple physics when playing dota, physics in terms on range and speed, we learn physics when using ranged hero, we are learning physics when using skills, cuz we need to think about, isit far enough or short enough to skill the enemy?? Will I miss? Will I be able to survive in GB (gang bang)? The speed in dealing damage and the range require to hit the hero also need to take into account!

And dota isn't the game that is violence, and feel fun to play..There are still many other benefits..Well I just vioce out the opinion, so we wouldn't be judgmental by only viewing to only 1 side of certain thing..

Wow , so much benefits ......... Perhaps I'm being judgmental ...... I didn't even play it before , but somehow I get the feeling I just don't like the game at all ..... Don't know why ....... Sorry ........
