About Brixton: Inspired by music, culture, and the people who surround them, Brixton is the collaboration of three friends who wanted to convey their lifestyle through unique products.
Action Sports Ready is a specialist action sports online one-stop training shop that provides retail sales staff with the knowledge required on the products they sell. Our aim is simple: To increase sales per person per category throughout the entire supra shoes sale sports industry.
The idea itself was Brett Barley’s creation as we all recognized the increasing lack of customer service and product knowledge in the action sports retail network. As a passionate group of surfers, snowboarders, and skiers we always enjoyed the service you got when looking for your next board or pair of bardies, but more recently that service hasn’t been so comprehensive and enjoyable.
The idea of Actionsportsready.com is to provide the industry a platform where brands and retailers can train and educate their retail staff so that they can provide premium and fun customer service and sell the customer the products they actually need not what they might think they want.
We couldn’t have picked a better athlete to create our first DC branded motocross gear for,” said Brian Castro, DC’s Action Sports Marketing Director. “Jeremy is the king of super cross and one of the greatest motocross legends of all time. He’s been a dedicated DC athlete for more than a decade and we’re honored that he’ll be wearing DC supra skytop shoes gear on the track, as well as our apparel and footwear off the track.”
To create the design of the spring 2011 gear, Jeremy worked with DC designers on a graphic and came up with a print inspired by a blue spill pattern from the Toxic board short in DC’s summer 2011 line. While the gear won’t be available for sale, it’s only for athlete and promotional use, apparel and footwear inspired by Jeremy’s gear is in the works and will be available to consumers later this year.
“I couldn’t be more excited about working on a new venture with DC,” said Jeremy. “I’ve been a DC athlete for such a long time, and this was a great next step to get more involved with the brand. I like to be at the forefront of new and exciting projects, so this was a perfect fit for me. To make sure the gear was the supra vaider low of the best, we reached out to my friend Troy Lee to help with this project.”
Gone are the days when sneaker heads who buy the same model of shoes have to dwell with the twin-like scenario. Identical shoes however is not really bad, but of course, everyone in this generation seeks originality and not to belong to the same image. In one way and another, there’s a craving for what is unique and artistic, that’s what partners in crime, Josh Kenyon and Colby Nichols have to develop.
With both artistic obsessions and talents, the Jolly was born, combining their names as they pursue their passion. Josh loves to create pattern and texture while Colby has a perfect eye in forming creatures and shapes. The two met in a design school at the Art Institutes but later went back to their own hometowns – Josh in Chicago and Colby in Portland. After dc shoes them selves to be a perfect team, Josh moved to Portland, and from there they began collaborating for the first time.
Jolly chose DC shoes to be the objects of their work. A couple low top DC pairs were meticulously crafted with one that features woven pattern and multiple eye and hand graphics, and the other with cartoon drawings that are dominated by blue and purple shades.
